A, B, C, My Bed

by CaffeineBomb   Dec 6, 2005

For each of you, my bed holds a different meaning

First,
I remember a relative stranger
Saying we looked cute together
As we sat under the covers for warmth

It was from there all our problems unfolded,
Shouted their presence and became resolved
All in the space of a few hours

Second,
I remember temptation
Hitting me for the first time
As you walked in as I half-slept

It may not have been the final piece of the jigsaw
But it was one of the last, and
I wish now that I had let you in

Third,
I remember your touch
And how without you it feels cold
Without your hand to hold it is empty

I am not filled with remorse
But I think of what was said and I realise
That maybe I should just take it

For each of you, it shows a different kind of love
So is it any wonder I find it difficult to sleep?
When every time I lay down it whispers to me
About how I long for you all in different ways
A - emotionally
B - physically
C - maybe, just maybe
How I wish my walls had ears to hear what you say when I'm not there
And how I wish you cut them short by telling me yourselves
A, B or C
Which is it to be?
