Left alone

I am left alone
to brew with my tears
I have so long pretended
were just a symbol of my fears

You have parted from me
said it was for my own good
but every night I cry
and I don't know why I should

I drink my tears and my blood
to still the thirst
to manipulate the soul
that your hate cursed

I say farewell
leave you rather to live than to die
"I loved you" I say
but you only answer "good-bye"
