Paper over the cracks

Each time I climb,
And then down I fall.
Feel I've got everything,
And then lose it all.

Inside I melt,
My heart torn in two.
But I will not let,
My sadness show through.

I lock it all up,
Throw away the key.
No-one else knows,
That it's there except me.

When I got knocked back,
I wanted to cry.
I didn't dare show it,
But inside I died.

My friends would come up to me,
Ask if I was okay.
I knew I was lying,
But said yes anyway.

And now it is happening,
All over again.
I know I'll get hurt,
Though I can't quite tell when.

They think that I'm strong,
But it's all just a show.
How I truly feel,
They will never know.

Next time just as always,
I'll paper over the cracks.
Try to look forward,
And never turn back.

    This is soooo so sad....i can really relate to this poem... there are alot of times when im just dying inside and i feel like screaming but i tell everyone else that im okay..

    its ok though..keep your head held high.your not alone.

    Loved loved looooved this. It wasn't that extraordinary, but for some reason it captured my heart. The flow was flawless, as were the rhymes! I can relate sooo freaking well to this one.

    ^^Just though I should point out that you don't have to put a dash between no and one. Haha, yes I AM that picky. >.>

    Loved the paper over the cracks idea. really intruiged me.
    very good flow an rhyme to the poem i liked the way that it changed in the final stanza.
    hun you no that i no that everyone is weak inside sometimes although they may not show it on the outside if you ever ever need to talk im here like always.
