I lay awake in bed at night,
The slightest noise gives me a fright,
I hold and squeeze my teddy tight.
Will somebody please love me?

I see the shadow through the door,
I hear the creaks on the floor,
So I squeeze my teddy even more.
Will somebody please love me?

It's been going on every night for years,
This is the reason for my fears,
I've now learnt to not cry my tears.
Will somebody please love me?

My step dad once used his leather belt,
Nobody knows the pain Iâ??ve felt,
I might as well be living in hell.
Will somebody please love me?

He wants me dead and out of his way,
I can't take this for another day,
I'll take these pills next to where I lay.
God will you please love me?

    This is a really good poem hun, nice job. I can see the mental image of a person in bed late at night, clutching a teadybear and thinking those things. You did this really well and I enjoyed the read!
