Haunting Nightmares

by Sherry Lynn   Dec 8, 2005

Haunting Nightmares

They are back again
Worse than before
Left helpless and defenseless
My heart falling to the floor

Shaking
Trembling
Screaming
No one to hear me

Praying
Pleading
Begging
As you near me

Waking suddenly
In a pool of sweat
Desperately trying
To catch my breath

Memories flooding
My mind recalling
Each beating suffered
When we were once together
