The Sea and I

by Galen Dangler   Dec 8, 2005

Abide with me said I to the sea
"come take this life that the world hath wrought"

but said the sea to me
"thy life is thine and thine to take it thus"

so said I "but my end draws ever nigh end my life and thus send back unto the dust"

said the sea to I " but dust i make as rocks I crumble down. and thus i be not the end of thee but instead the very crown"

so i flung myself into the sea
on that cold and lifeless shore
and the sea took me that in the end

I would suffer no more.
