Painful memories...

by Maelle   Dec 9, 2005

And there we were, together, sitting,
In a classroom, the teacher speaking,
While our minds wandered slowly off,
In distant memories, a long way off.

The teacher's voice was slowly dimming,
While in my mind, the thoughts were swimming,
And as a fish, lost by its school,
A memory came, shining like a jewel.

I'm four years old, I've just changed school,
The others think that I'm a fool,
My best friends have deserted me,
I'm in the park, I'm seen, they flee.

It's guring lunch, I sit alone,
Behind a bench, all on my own,
I hear the laughter, I watch the sky,
I grab my knees and start to cry.

I hide by face, to hide my tears,
I won't let others see my fears,
And as the teacher kept on speaking,
I took a breath, and started listning.
