Before I forget

by Cloe   Dec 10, 2005

My daddy has to go away,
But he'll return most any day,
Any day I might see,
My daddy coming back to me.
But in truth, I close my eyes,
Thinking of how fast the time flies,
My daddy has not returned-not yet,
If not soon I might forget,
All the good times we had,
But for now lets forget all the bad,
Wait a minute- I snap back to reality,
I was thinking of a dream, or an immortality,
For what I want is a daddy, both in the flesh and for real,
A daddy's not something that anybody could steal,
When we left, my daddy lived a few years,
But with all those years, I filled with tears,
But in one day, but in one breath,
What finally stole him
Was his final death.
