True Love

If I had just told him,
Would we be together?
Would we have worked through the distance?
Would he have said it back?

When we see each other,
I want to say hi, but can't.
We act like we've never seen each other,
and leave questions unanswered.

When he left that day,
and walked out of my life,
I just let him go, not saying anything.
But to this day, I still wonder,
what if he'd felt the same.
