What He Has Taught Me

There's a question that lingers silently inside,
And I try to find the answer that's running through my mind.
What is love? And how do you know when it appears?
Why do some of us strive to find it, and others hold fear?
I think of him and his affect on me,
He has opened my eyes, shown me all I need to see.
Love is a feeling that cannot be defined,
When all emotions of the heart are properly alined.
It's when what exists in your mind, is only his smiles,
And you would never wish to see another's eyes.
When you feel safe in his arms, there is no resistance.
You are protected by his love, no matter what the distance.
Love makes a heart beat faster and slower all at the same time,
When a warm tingle is sent, from your heart down your spine.
Love can steal the pain from a broken arm,
As well as safely, unbreak the recently broken heart.
When you can have a silent moment, enjoying the time you spent together.
And still wish for that silence to last forever.
Love is giving him the ability to destroy you,
And trusting him that it isn't something he will do.
Love has no words, and cannot be writting on paper,
It only has destiny, written in the stars vapour.
