What my parents think

Look at my arms
What do you see?
Many cuts
Behind my sleeves.

My dad says I'm mad
My mom says I'm sad,
Why don't they see
There's nothing wrong with me?

They think I feel pain
Why can't they see my gain?
They never look past
What they saw the night before last

They now think I've stopped
They now think they're on top
But they never see at night
What I do by the moonlight

And so each day I hide the lines
With small convincing lies.
Each day I say I'm fine,
But is just another lie.
