Hurricane Katrina

by nobody truly knows me   Dec 12, 2005

So many lifes were ruined, by one single storm
so much more strife and misery was born
all of these people, hungry and scared
hoping that things won't turn out as they feared
many people are now injured and dying
lots of little children are crying
friends and family cannot be found
people are having to sleep on the ground
they are probably all wondering if help will ever come
and then if it does, will it be too late for some
for by then, the injured may be the dying, and the dying be the dead
these people cannot be happy, all they can feel is dread
almost everything that they once owned is now destroyed
their houses, their cars, and their children's beloved toys
there's no more food, no more fresh water
these people know that they're constantly in danger
they're probably all wondering if they will survive
for they don't know if help, will ever arrive
