If life were like that

by amy   Dec 13, 2005

A world of unknown thoughts
a world of unknown dreams
a world of unknown fears
all bottled up in my tears

a world of unknown lies
a world of unknown truth
a world of unknown hate
piled up on my small plate

a compassion of call surroundings
a compassion of all that's lost
a compassion of all sins
and their tolls, among their costs

a compassion of a wonder
a compassion of a wish
a compassion of my sweet life
a curled up in one dish

this is the way it should be
a world so easy and free
but this is only a dream
for a reader of this to see

to see what life could be like
and how ways it should come
but we as humans make it difficult
because our minds are all so numb

we never let the life flow easy
and give it time to find it's path
we always have to screw things up
and give our lives its wrath

we never learn from our mistakes
and never make it right
we always hide and run away
and remain living in fright

if it was me to decide
i would have to say
that people should stand up for themselves
and say what they have to say

if it was up to me to make
the world a better place
i would change every mind ever soul
if that would be the case

so know i hope that you can see
that life could be fun
if we kept our mind on right
and didn't get so spun

life could be a joyful ride
that we could all ride free
oh how great, and oh how fun
would a good life that could be!
