Imperfections

by ChangeInMe   Dec 13, 2005

One day there was a girl,
Staring out the window,
On a cold, lonely morning.

She heard a man ask,
this simple question that changed everything.
"Why are you so sad?"

She looked at him,
With a tear drenched face,
And said,
"I'm sad because I look at things,
Those once were beautiful,
But now I see,
There's so many things wrong with them.

Every Rose has thorns,
All snow turns to ice,
The sun can damage.

How can I smile?
Nothing is right."

The stranger looked at her,
Smiling he said,
"Imperfections are what make thing perfect,
Just look outside at the snow,
It's cold but it's still beautiful to watch,
as it falls peacefully."

The snow outside was gleaming
As the sun bounced off the snow-capped mountain.

A single tear ran down the girl's cheek.

Every rose has thorns,
All snow turns to ice,
The sun can damage.

She realize that didn't matter,
Imperfections were beautiful.
Even in her.
