The First

Getting ready in a hurry
Taking the 15 minute drive to FCC
Going to my Grandmas for the worst day of my life
We get there, greeted by smiling faces and warm hugs
We begin to eat the delicious desserts
Gooey rice-crispy treats, cool chocolate pie
We rush the living room to open presents
Camera's flashing, paper flying
Excitement on everyone's face but mine
I go to the bathroom, face-full of tears
My mom had past a little more than a month before
This is the worst Christmas of all
My dad cam to check on me
He too began to cry, it was difficult to deal
This was the first Christmas without her
As we go back to the living room, everyone knew
They put on smiling faces to help us through
Once we leave, we again get many hugs
Everyone understands that it was the first time..

This is a poem about my ex-g/f.. her mom died last year because of cancer.. Will y'all please pray for her.. she needs alot of help because her dad is about to get re-married.. and she can't take all the pain.. Thank y'all and I love you Ashley!!
