An Impssible Wish

Did you ever fall for someone you know you shouldn't?
Try hard to fight your feelings, but you just couldn't?
You fall deeper with each passing day.
But try hard to hide it in every possible way.
He's only a friend and nothing else.
That's the lie I keep tellin myself.
I keep on sayin he's just a best bud,
But deep inside I'm falling in love,
I get so giddy when I meet his eyes.
But keep reminding myself that "this isn't right."
A simple glance turns into a stare.
But then again I pretend that I don't care.
It's "not right" for us to be.
That must be why I hide it for no one else to see.
I guess I'll keep lying... "He's just a friend."
Perhaps my feelings can never show.
Perhaps its "wrong" for him to know.
Our friendship can't be risked for this,
So being his girl is an impossible wish.
