Emotions

I've had a hard life.
Not being able to trust anyone.
Always being the loner type.
Always being on the run.

My feelings didn't have meaning.
I didn't have a worry or a care.
Didn't react to anything or anyone,
even when it didn't seem fair.

Emotions build inside me,
just until I burst.
I didn't want to feel anything,
even when I was at my worst.

Emotions bring sorrow.
Sorrow brings pain.
After all the pain I've been through,
I don't know how much more I can sustain.
