Diet Pills

by Little Dot   Dec 18, 2005

Why do they all do that to themsleves
They think they have to be perfect
That they're never good enough

So they take some pills
Get surgery,
Or skip some meals

When all that does is make them sick
They're slowly killing themselves
For what they see as beautiful

They torture they're bodies
They all have to look like the girls on T.V.
They all want to be the image of perfection
When really there is no such thing

So they take all those pills
And slowly massacre themsleves
Slowly fading away to nothing

They think that if they lose enough weight
All dress the same
Or act a certain way
That they will get everything they want

But in fact all these things cause
Are pain, suffering, and death

True. But in the end not many people listen. I guess that these little models need a stronger wake-up call. We all do. It is a pity that so many people who look great can't stop there...they take diet to the extreme.

I liked the poem because it was done in your usual style, without dramatics..just as it is.
