Take Me to the Place

by Ellen   Dec 18, 2005

Take me to the place
Where clouds never cry
And my heart is way up high
Untouchable by another's lie

Take me to the place
Where betrayal doesn't exist
And no one would put my heart in a twist
For no one would need to be missed

Take me to the place
Where caring does not sting
And people don't rip off my only wing
As I am held by such a thin string

Take me to the place
Where those you love never die
And there's no such thing as good-bye
For they don't have to be angels to fly

Take me to the place
Where my tears will never fail to run dry
And my loved ones are always nearby
For if that were the case, I'd get some shuteye

Take me to the place
Where I could buy happiness
And I don't have to be some charity actress
I can be me and still find clearness

Take me to the place
Where I don't have to feel so damn worthless
And everything would be simply wondrous
Without one single flash of falseness

Take me to the place
Where there is no such thing as me
And I could finally be free
Away from such a terrible misery

Take me to this place
Where I would always be bound
And I swear a joy will be found
If only the me could be drowned
