Each Day

by nobody truly knows me   Dec 18, 2005

Why do you do this to me
You make me feel insignificant
Each day is the same
My joy is evanescent
Reliving the pain
Each day in my mind
Laughter turns to tears
I'm broken up inside
Remembering the things you said
Yesterday, and all the days before
They're echoing in my mind
They're stuck there forever more
Where are the days
Of happiness and laughter
They're replaced with pain
sorrow, anguish, and despair
What have I done wrong
I know I must be to blame
I must do something wrong each day
For each day is the same
Each day you criticize
Lower my self-esteem
Each day we argue
I wonder how you could say things so mean
Each night is the same
Apologies left unsaid
We pretend nothing happened
At the end of each night I feel dread
For i know what will come tomorrow
And each day after
The fighting and pretending
Will go on forever

Good work. I have read several of your poems, and you have some great ideas behind the writing and you have a strongly developed style and common theme. Try to experiment with what you're saying. Try to take one of your poems and the meaning behind it and just re-write it. Its good exercise. Experiment with your words as you've done some-what in here. Continue to develop your vocabulary and continue to experiment and write these great pieces!
