Good Night Again

by Simon Hayes   Dec 19, 2005

That time has come again
When we kiss good night
Work will soon consume you
The day has turned the light

Standing at the door way
This cold bitter evening
Your eyes sparkle in the wind
The air exposes your breathing

I hate to watch you leave
Watch you drive away from me
It fills my heart with emptiness
If only you could see

See the pain I feel
When I go to bed alone
The pain that will surround me
Until you get back home

I think of you all day
And I dream of you when sleeping
Just remember when you're working
It is your heart I'M keeping!

My love will always comfort you
No matter where you are
The sun can stop from shining
But I'll never be that far

I long for kisses and far out cuddles
The way they used to be
Snuggling up on the couch
A film, you and me

I know that soon these days will come
When you don't have to go
But sadly this is how life is
Our love is strong I know

So take with you this thought
Wherever you may be
My heart is yours forever
It will always be you and me!

Such a precious love you share, what a treasure you have found. Its a bit sad but filled with love, hope and longing for her return home. Very touching and beautifully written.

    Simon ,
Oh my ...sweet man ...your love and dedication for your wife is so incredibly beautiful ....
Sadness and joy fill my heart at the same time....
Sadness because you miss her so ...
Joy because you love each other so much ..
A very heart touching piece my friend ...
