Rainy Day

by Sara   Dec 20, 2005

Slowly the memories are fading away. The memories of many fall evenings they spent next to each other. The memories of two people so close whispering the secrets of their past. The hushed tones they used as they spoke of pain and sorrows. The excited laughter they used as they spoke of smiles and good times. They sat there, with that moment their hearts were filled with happiness. He moved the waves of her dark brown hair away from her angelic face to look deep into her grayish blue eyes. They felt all the love in the world within each others eyes. These words are but memories of what used to be first love. Like beautiful flowers need sunshine and water, first love needs nourishment and care. But you let our love slip out of your hands. And down to the ground I went. You watched your first love crumble and did nothing about it. I want to erase the memories within my past, the memories of you, but how can I forget all the love I contain for you? I'll just tuck them away for a rainy day.
