What my heart wants to say

by A Metaphorical Beauty   Dec 22, 2005

You are my smile in which my lips form,
The feeling which makes me glow,
The reason for happiness at my saddest times,
The beats which my heart skips when I think for you.

You are my goosebumps as your face brushes across mine,
And the passion in each lingering kiss,
The love I feel when I'm lost in your eyes,
The sense of perfection when our hands fit as they do.

You are that tingling throughout my body,
With your arms wrapped around my waist,
The "fuzzy feeling" of warmth side,
When you assure me you will be there.

You are the butterflies when I hear your voice,
The butterflies which make my heart flutter,
You are my childish giggle when I am overwhelmed with love
The childish giggle when I tickle your tummy.

You are the Saviour of my soul,
The cure to the love I craved,
The treasure in my chest,
Where a kiss marked the spot.

You are the person which I could call my diary,
And pour my heart out to,
The inspiration into the window of my soul,
The ink in my pen which makes me free.

You are the root of these words,
The pattern which forms this poem,
The use of you and I together,
And I promise to love you forever.
