I thought you'd be the one
that would love me so much
I thought you'd be the one
that would make me weak with one touch

I thought you'd be the one
that would never make me cry
I thought you'd be the one
that wasn't like every other guy

I thought you'd be the one
I would be with forever
I thought you'd be the one
who would want to stay together

I thought you'd be the one
making everything alright
I thought you'd be the one
that was worth the fight

I thought you'd be the one
that wouldn't lie to me
I thought you'd be the one
but I guess I was too blind to see

I thought you'd be the one
to hold me and always care
I thought you'd be the one
that would always be there

I thought you'd be the one
that would never break my heart
I thought you'd be the one
that wouldn't make me fall apart

I thought you'd be the one
that would miss me when I was gone
I thought you'd be the one
but I guess I was wrong
