Mother (For Ashley)

by Pantala   Dec 23, 2005

She cried to me.
She told me to come.
She told me to leave.
She told me she didn't want to die.
She never deserved this.
It wasn't her time.
She never wanted to leave me here all alone.
She died in my arms.
What am I supposed to think.
It was never peaceful.
That's the way she should have gone.
But God had other plans for my mom.
She left behind her only daughter because God called her.
He called her into battle.
She tried to resist but in the end she owed him her life.
I wish she was still here but wishing does nothing for me.
Goodbye my dear.
Goodbye my love.
May you be in peace and some day soon see me again.
