Life

by EpithetPoet   Dec 23, 2005

My mark of perfection
Speaks in slits on my wrists
Can you see my beauty now?
Are you jealous of all this?

How can you hate a person
You dont even know?
Love a person, envy a person
With a past unknown?

You lie to yourself daily
By denying the space in your head
With the foundation you spread on
Like thick butter on thin bread

It amazes me to think
That you'd ever want my life
When so many nights
I killed my wrists with a knife

So dont judge what you dont know
Because there's black to every light
Just love yourself for how you are
And love every moment to your singular life

I love this poem...because so many people envy others who they know nothing about and they just assume are perfect...
