A scared Girl

by Erica   Dec 25, 2005

A scared girl, afraid of what she saw
The hand that hit her mother
Another visible flaw

A night of teary eyes
Locked up in her room
An abusive father, no one will know why

She saw her mother's pain but she was filled with her own
Her mother didn't notice
Because his anger always shown

She tried to help her mother, but it only made things worse
It got to the point
Where she would rather die first

A night unlike no other
Her father had too much to drink
He didn't know this would be the last that he would get to hit her mother

A scared girl that didn't know what to do
She had no one left
Death was all she knew

The night of her mother's funeral, she stayed up in her room
Her eyes burned from crying
She finally decided what she was going to do

She dropped to her knees and prayed to God for forgiveness
Then she sliced the razor deep into her wrist
And watched her blood drain her lifeless.
