My Last Words...

by Roberto Serrano   Dec 25, 2005

Out of fatal breath comes a last request then I exhale,
Born of molded clay dark hair stained to gray its age I un-vale,
Frail demise my heart pulsates at a rise for fright of my lungs last tale,
Then a cruel knock I hail for my calling is true and life shall not prevail,
What once was sweet is now one sweet soul freed in form of a dove,
For this dying soul penetrates its sights on seeing my extinguished lost love,
No words to remember I shall be lost in December on the birth of the greatest man,
I see a light of hope leaning towards me but it's the sight of my promised land,
Treasure me in buried sands and remember me forever and please forget me not,
Write my name on a plot destined to rot for I forged my name on the Reapers's dot,
Oh cruel goodbye is it worth the tear in my eye to plead for my last breath,
So I walk into the light and keep my family in my sights and meet my calling death,
Just remember I left yet still in a thought I shall be immortal through your memory,
For I lit a light in your heart and keep faith that one day together we shall once gain be,
I saw the passing of others of sister's fathers and mothers and now I take my turn,
Forever treasure that flame in your heart I lit with love and eternally let it burn,
Open the gates for I hail the great through my faith and I know life passes us by,
So please don't cry remember me alive and I'll hold your place in the sky,
So when the sun shines through glass and you feel the light upon your face it shall be me,
I shall be watching over you like an angel until your found here next to me,
Hold up your chin and feel the cool breeze that slowly caresses your flesh,
Although your heart may be a mess remember me at my best and keep me alive in your chest...
