Goodbye

Hey mom and dad,
It's your baby girl.
I have something to tell you.
It isn't good news.
So please sit down and don't cry.
Everything will be ok.
I was driving home and came to a red light.
I watched for it to turn green but I never got to see it.
Through the corner of my eye, I saw bright headlights coming my way.
I saw that speeding car headed right for me.
I would have drove off but I would have hit another car.
The driver was drunk I could tell.
He was swerving all over the place.
I remember seeing him try to miss me but it was too late,
Now I am lying in my own blood with cuts all over me.
The driver of the vehicle that hit me is talking to the police.
At least he's up and walking.
I jsut heard the fireman who pulled me out say I probably wouldn't make it.
I hate that the man who done this to me gets to keep his like but I have to lose mine.
I am so scared mom and dad.
Did I live my life right?
When I stayed and got hit and not let someone else die, was I doing the right thing?
Well I'm losing my breath now I have to go.
Remember that I love you and don't cry for me. I'll see you in Heaven and once again we'll be a family.
