Tears for You

by Sherry Lynn   Dec 28, 2005

Tears for You

I love you though
I said I never would
Torn to pieces inside
Each time I see you with her

Wishing it was me
You held close at night
Again I am alone
While tears for you I cry

The pain is too much
Unable to sleep at night
Thoughts of you keep dancing
Deeper in my mind

We once gazed in each other’s eyes
Every time we made love
Now you are gone
Taken with you a piece of my heart

I tried to fight it
Denied my love is true
In the end my heart you won
As I am left without you

That is very bittersweet. To lose a love and be left with all the memories.
I've had some similar things happen, though mostly with pets. It hurt so much when they died even now, more than three years later, I can still cry as though they had died just yesterday.
I understand that it hurts to lose a loved one, and to know that they took the wrong path is even worse.

Awwww this is really sad. I'm so sorry. This is an amazing poem though i enjoyed reading it. yes it is a regret kinda thing of getting the one you knew was going to be with you get away. to me it's what they want not what you want. They come first. And if he wanted to go then let him go but it really sucks knowing that the one you once loved or whatever is gone with the WRONG girl and you can't do anything about it. keep it up. keep on writing. love always and forever.
