That day

by Rosie   Dec 28, 2005

If you loved me you would let me go,
Instead you glung on to me by the toe,
Your love, it faded away,
Long ago on a rainy day,
You came out of a storm,
In a dark strange form,
You held out your hand,
And made your demand,
But then I did not know you,
Or what you would do,
To make me feel this pain,
And on my heart a strain,
You kissed and hugged me,
Said you loved me,
But I slipped away,
On that very same day,
The guilt it wore me down,
Took away my crown,
You showed me love,
And as I look above,
At the many stars in the sky,
I ask myself why,
How could I have done such a thing,
And then with a ping,
You were at my side,
We hugged and cried,
You said you would never leave,
As the very thought of you not there made me heave,
The sun came out that day,
When I led you astray,
But you still love me,
Thats the way it will always be.
