A child of God

by Stephanie   Dec 29, 2005

His eyes
Their fiery trances
His smile
A rare transfixion of warmth

He teases
Some angrily retort “Shut up!”
Some, like me, just smile.
He grins back.

Every insult you throw
He throws right back
Making you look so stupid
But at the same time, creating a wonderful memory.

He is not perfect
But then who is?
Jesus is our Lord,
And we are his servants.
