Our crystall ball of memories

by BrokenMemoriex   Dec 30, 2005

The secret hidden deep in my drawer
Only you shall know; I'll tell you what
It's our own crystal ball of memories
Every piece taken from my heart

It's the secret between you and me
The secret we promised to keep
Holding each and every moment of ours
The same ones that make me weep

And when I get lonely sometimes
Listen to me, I really do
I lift the crystal ball up to my face
And think of thoughts of you

The colors in the ball swirl
Round and round and round
I look deep into the glass
As my heart loudly pounds

The colors settle and form a picture
One that looks almost real
The movie of our lives replay
This is what I hold most dear

This is the part where I cry the most
Where the movie suddenly stops
Why must it end so soon?
When I still love you lots

The crystal ball starts to get misty
As all colors turn to gray
They swirl for what seems like hours
Then slowly they fade away

I convince myself to believe
This wasn't meant to last
After all this was merely
Part and parcel of our past

I wipe away one last tear
But my cheeks remain wet
I make up my mind
To leave your shadow and forget

I must forget the times we had
I won't think of you anymore
I shall stop loving you no longer
As the crystal ball crashes to the floor
