Wonder...while looking back

Now that it's over
I can't help but wonder
what happened to those promises of forever
all the promises of love

now that I see you with her
I can only ponder
the sweet nothing once whispered in my ear
are they the things that she now hears?

for if they are, I beleive she deserves fair warning
that one day she will be in my place, wondering the same
Putting in her place a different name
