It had to be done...

Out through the window
The frozen pane
Reflecting the parts of me
Now no longer the same
The icy wind
Cuts harsh and wild
Into my heart
These sins compiled

Yet a burden has lifted
Off my weary soul
I again can breathe deeply
My spirit now whole

It had to be done
That awful deed
For my life I shall not
Be a lie I mislead

But the guilt still lingers
Around me here
I am sorry for hurt
Pain and fear
Yet overall it is better
This fault I have made
If I did linger
I wouldve had more to be paid
