Unknown Territory

by katherine   Jan 2, 2006

He stepped into territory
he tried so hard to avoid.
But he jumped real hard, nicely too
like a pro would.
You sure fooled me
'I'm not like the rest.'
That's such a 'everyone else' thing to say
'I Love You'
Yep, they all said that too.
But don't worry I'll get over this
I did every other time right?
Please prove to me
You aren't like them.
I'm begging you love.
Don't turn out like the rest
You're better than that.
It feels so real
Even though we know its not.
Can't reality back off
Just this once?
It was a mistake, a joke
That once it was said,
Didn't seem so funny.
I get it now
Its okay.
Just promise me you'll step off
This unknown territory
And come back to where I still stand.
