Tears

These tears I cry are pain to me
I try to forget but it's plain to see
Remembering hurts and I can't forget
Everything I've done I have regret
I wish I could hold you
I wish my dreams could be true
To be someone else for just one day
Would be more than words could say
To erase the scars and put down the knife
Would make more than my day, it would save my life
Sleeping on the floor another night
Filling my dreams to the brim with freight
Hating every moment of not hating you
Hating knowing there's nothing left that I can do
Biting down my nails
Off the walls every time I fail
Tearing apart my soul
The lies are taking their toll
These tears are an everyday thing to me
I'll drown myself till I can no longer breathe
