I've been told

I've been told to be strong
That the things I feel are not wrong
And If I'm upset - feeling blue
That there's always someone I can turn to.

I've been told that it's ok to cry
To lose hope and want to die
Because there'll always be someone near
To give me hope and make things clear

I've been told to hold on tight
Stray from danger and hunt the light
It's ok to want a little space
Because even angels fall from grace

Now I'm telling you to hold on too
Because I'm that person who cares for you
Alone in the dark - it's impossible to fight
But together we can win and find the light
