Love Hurts

You assured me that you'd never hurt me,
But that was a lie,
Because the pain I felt was so unbearable,
That my heart was bleeding,
And it wouldn't stop.

You were suppose to fix it
When the wound was fresh,
But you didn't,
Instead you just stabbed it,
And made it bleed more

You didn't realize what you had
Until it was gone
You think a pretty face
And a nice body
Is all you look for in a girl

Have you ever asked yourself,
If that one girl you like
Ever loved you?
Or is she just using you,
Like you once used me?

They say love is blind
And before this day I could never understand why,
But I guess I saw this coming,
I just didn't want to realize it
Because deep down in my heart
I thought that maybe
You could see,
How much I really loved you

It's sad that it had to end this way,
But I guess it's the best thing
For both of us,
But just know that I wish you the best of luck
And I hope you can find someone
That loved you like I once did
