Daytime Distractions

by ratchild666   Jan 3, 2006

During the day
I'm over you
And what you did
Ive got through

Laughing with friends
And having fun
Reveling in
This war i won

Keeping busy
Without a thought
Of the hurt
And pain you brought

Feeling just fine
Get through this day
Like i said,
I'm miles away

* * *

But during the night
Theres nothing there
To distract my mind
I just lie and stare

My head wanders
Into thoughts of you
And all the things
We used to do

Anger brings back
Its ugly head
Deafened by echoes
Of things you said

Blinded by your face
Even with closed eyes
I can still see you
Give up my disguise

* * *

During the day I'm miles away
During the night i lose my fight
