The way things use to be

When I first met you, you where the sweetest person ever,
You always made me laugh I knew we had to be together,

Every time I needed a shoulder you were always there to lean on,
The way I started to feel for you was something like a love song,

You were like a best friend someone I could confine in,
I thought this would have been the perfect love to begin,

I remember the first time we kissed, sparks flew from above,
And at that very moment with you I fell in love,

We use to talk for hours at night on the telephone,
I guess neither one of us wanted to feel alone,

I remember you giving me flowers one day just because,
I remember me saying this have to work it really does,

All these special thing I remember about you and me,
Now things have change it's not the way things use to be.
