Aunt Kathy

by Kyle Schulz   Jan 7, 2006

Life is a fragile concept,
It is taken and to God we blame,
How are we to know what his great plan is,
It could be the one that puts us to shame,

How do we deal with the loss,
Of a dearly beloved one,
Some people go into darkness and grief,
For them, no warmth comes from the sun,

Others suppress their sadness,
And try to get on with life,
It is not good to hold it all in,
With a soul in constant strife,

Others simply say "shes in a better place now"
even if we miss her so,
Thats not good enough for my sense of right,
Please, dear God, I want to know,

Why must the good die young,
And yet the wicked remain,
When someone like Kathy leaves this earth,
All it causes is pain,

I was not close to her I know,
Although to me she was dear,
Why are all of us dying anyway,
To be left alone is my only fear,
