Me and my boyfriend kiss and hold hands, we have the same taste we like the same bands
We all get along me and his friends, we even hang out every now and then
And his best friend the one i have a crush on, flirts around though he pretends its for fun
I'm a good girl I get straight A's, but what do they matter they're just grades
I have lots of friends I dont stay out late, yeah I know I know it all sounds so great
But that's how it is my life in my dreams, my real life in reality is not what it seems
Everyone thinks I should be this happy teen, but they don't know me nor the problems Ive seen
In other peoples eyes I have what i need, get everything I want life's good indeed
But they don't understand what i go through, had it been them they would of done it too
They think I'm perfect always with a smile, thats not how i feel haven't for a while
Don't they ever think about whats beneath, theres more than meets the eye thats what I believe.
So my teeth may twinkle but my eyes do not, tell me what life is cus i forgot
I'm not that open I wont let it show, look deep in my eyes if you wanna know
When life gets tough I just escape, to this wonderful magic so perfect place
In this place I can be any girl, i can do anything cus ITS MY WORLD
When I get dumped or fail a test, I go to my world and forget the rest
When i find out he doesn't feel the same, i escape again once more into my game
When I look all blank cant find a trace, and theres this emptiness all over my face
Thats how you know when I'm not there, thats how you know life hasn't been fair
