Thank You

Thank You

One lie turns into two
The second becomes the third
My trust in you fades
With your every little word
Love is giving your heart to someone
And hoping they won't break it
Staying committed to each other
And praying that you'll make it
Well thank you for giving my hopes up
And giving in to temptation
Trading in our love for lust
Without a moments consideration
Thank you for shattering my dreams
With all of your lies
Tears flow like a stream
Down from my eyes
Thank you for deceiving me
I must be gullible as hell
Believing everything you told me
I thought I knew you so very well
But now I know I don't know you
I just know who you aren't
I know you're no saint
Just the one who broke my heart

So much truth in that. I especially liked, "I know who you aren't".
