Silence

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Jan 9, 2006

Silence slowly draws around me
Fills the room from wall to wall
Slowly creeps inside my head
And I can't think at all

No one is around,
No one have I seen
Thus my thoughts play over,
What is and what has been

This emptiness, this silence
Not a sound to hear
Nobody can help me
For nobody is near

This silence, born inside me
Spreads out from my core
And so I pray for respite
As i can't take much more

Sometimes it's hard to justify
how i feel and what i need
Often i want solitude
My own type of greed

But sometimes I can't bear it
I just feel so alone
And at these times I'm often found
sitting on my own
