Little Girl

by Emily   Jan 9, 2006

"I don't wanna get a bath!"
But in the tub she goes
She plays and splashes for so long
She has wrinkles on her toes

"I don't wanna get outta the tub!"
She yelled, screamed, and cried
But out of the tub she came
And in a fuzzy towel, got dried

"I don't wanna go to bed!"
But in the bed she goes
Not asleep until two stories
And a few thousand pillows

She lay staring at the blankets
Sitting quiet and still, out of fright
She sits under the covers hiding
From the secrets and scares of the night

There might be monsters under the bed
And aliens behind the door
She doesn't know what hides in the closet
The thought just scares her more

She waits under the covers
That protect her from the world
The world that she created
The mind of a little girl

__

Just something I remember when I was younger. :P

Wonderful work, this poem is so unique and original. It is amazingly done. I think you might have an error here though.
