Rainbow of black and grey

by Iola   Jan 10, 2006

People in small villages describes it as a cloud.
Its dark and heavy, its cold and messy .. it never makes a sound.
It rises up when least expected and moves slowly down on you.
Ice-cold feelings shiver your soul and everything turns into wood.

Your skin goes numb and fear wraps your mind.
One’s pupils disappear and it almost leaves you blind.
Thunder starts rolling on the grounds below.
Suddenly you’re alone on earth without anyone you know.

You’re nauseous now, your legs feel weak and your stomach burns like hell.
Fingers go numb, your muscles are aching but you’re not able to yell.
Swallowing gets more difficult as the shadows approach your spot.
Wind is blowing the sand against your face and you realise this is not..
What you expected from a rainbow day.
What you encountered, my dear friend, is the rainbow of black and grey.
