Walk with me

by Iola   Jan 10, 2006

Angel of God, walk with me.
Keep me safe from harm.
Angel of God, talk to me
Brighten me with your heavenly charm.

Tall, mighty warrior, pull your sword.
Fight the dark shadows that follow me.
Hold me close with our invisible cord.
I’m feeling this war I can’t see.

Flap your wings whenever I’m scared.
Toss them in hell with you fury.
Fight this battle worth fighting for.
Rid me of them whenever they near me.

Blow the sound of ocean into my ear, when tears well in my eye.
Let the smell of wet stone and soil fill my soul each time I must say goodbye.
Let me feel sunshine and sound on my skin, each time I hit the ground.
Overwhelm my thought my fear my wrath with the speed of sound.

Try to see beyond sin; and beyond the ways of humankind.
Understand that both of us are made by One.
You and me are both His child…
We both want His will to be done.

Please walk with me, stay with me and join me in this race.
And one day in heaven I’ll meet you my friend..
And I’ll recognize your face.
