Games with a girl (part 2)

by Bradley Peter   Jan 11, 2006

You had what you wanted, but you threw it all away
could've been together, for forever and a day
but once again it's games, that you just continue to play
and then you wonder why, things never go your way

claims that you'd get hurt, but i don't see how
but look what's come around, who's hurting now
i said I'd always love you, and that was my vow
i was the perfect gentlemen, we'd never had a row

but you chose to let go, and just so suddenly depart
reaching into my chest, and crushing my heart
i was a broken boy, who was just falling apart
and through my broken poetry, all i shall impart

now you want me back, now i love someone new
but if you hadn't let go, I'd still be with you
i hear nothing for ages, then suddenly out of the blue
you start to tell me things, things i never knew

sadly your ship's sailed, now you've got no one to hold
now you know how i felt, standing frozen in the cold
you think that i forget, that my feeling bought and sold
but I'll alway be your friend, cause I've a heart of gold

so tell me all you want, I'll help you all i can
though you broke my heart, you made a boy a man
i love you as a friend, but as a lover-i ban
so this is the new us, and this is the new plan
