Leaving

by Katt   Jan 11, 2006

Tears stained the paper
All over what she just wrote
Clothes strewn on the ground
She rips through her closet without a care
Puffy and swollen eyes
Tears overflowing
Of what she has done and what she will do
As she says her last good-byes
She lays down the pen and paper
As a car pulls in
And then the yelling starts
Yet again
It all has a familiar ring
She thinks as she jumps through the window
She starts to run
Never looking back
Knowing they won't notice 'til she is long gone
So far gone
She can never go back
She only knows that much this far
As she reaches the beach and plops down in the sun
Letting her emotions wash away with the tide
Until the cops came and took her away
She is with a new family know and a new happiness is found.
